Location of Arkland, Inveraray
Arkland Self-catering flat sleeps 2-6 and is situated in a quiet lane with interesting views and only two minutes’ walk from Loch Fyne. Parking is available if you are travelling by car, and the flat is on the bus route if not. While there are many car hire opportunities in Glasgow and at the airports, it may be possible to meet clients at train stations or airports by prior arrangement.
Arkland is located in the centre of village of Inveraray. There are daily buses from Glasgow right to the centre of Inveraray. Inveraray is on main bus route from Glasgow A82/A83. Approximately 1.5 – 2 hours. From the airport it is an easy scenic journey, approx. 1.5 hours.
There is a train serice to Arrochar/Tarbet Train Station (24 miles away) or Dalmally Station (16 Miles).
We are also on the route to Kennacraig ferry terminal where you can catch the ferry to visit Islay – home to 9 wonderful malt whisky distilleries!!
Nearby parking for cars and vans: if available. There is free parking outside the old Community Hall or behind Nicoll Hall. Also on Main Street South. There is access for loading and unloading outside flats. No continuous parking as access required to lane. Free parking at end of The Avenue car park (5 minutes walk – opposite Co-operative supermarket.
Bikers & Cyclists: There is parking alongside Arkland and a secure shed available for bikes.
Long and short breaks are catered for all year round at Arkland.
From the flat it’s only a quick hop to Inveraray Castle, visitor attractions, country walks, and the golf course; not to mention the obligatory ‘scotch’ at the local pub.
There are local hotels, restaurants and cafes providing good food with the accent on local produce. Local ales and whisky are not to be missed!
