Barnluasgan, just over 24 miles from Inveraray (around 35 minutes via A83 alongside the loch) provides a cycling trail and easy walking trails with the opportunity to spot the Knapdale Beavers via the Beaver Detective Trail, a two- hour (three-mile) circular walk which follows the natural terrain around the Dubh Loch and Loch Collie Bharr.
The Fire Tower Trails on the outskirts of Lochgilphead offer a fantastic mountain biking experience: a network of single track sections linked by forest roads, so you can make up your own route and do as much or as little as you like.
The trail includes big climbs and descents plus spectacular views of the islands of Jura, Scarba and the Gulf of Corryvreckan.
Inveraray Golf Club is a challenging 9 hole parkland course located just on the outskirts of the town at North Cromalt. It welcomes visitors and offers spectacular views over Loch Fyne and local area.
Half and hour’s drive north of Inveraray along the A819 brings you to Dalmally Golf Course,a beautiful, peaceful 9 hole course alongside the River Orchy.
